NIFS, or Nebraska Independent Fabric Shops, is an organization comprised of owners of independent fabric shops throughout the state. The purpose of the organization is to provide opportunity for networking and success of member shops as well as to promote the rise and appreciation of fabrics, sewing, and quilting. As sewing is a life skill/hobby, this scholarship is designed to help any high school senior or college student who share the love of sewing, to further their education in any field at a Nebraska Institute.
